Gerard moved quickly, calling his manager Theo, “Theo, hi, this is Gerard. We got a big problem down here.”
Theo’s attention was perked the moment he heard Gerard’s voice. He didn’t even need to understand the words, just by the speed, and tone he knew that something was up. “I will come down now,” he excused himself from his lover who he was sharing breakfast with, going down as quick as he could/ Theo got just enough clothes on where if a guest came down he would still look presentable. Theo knew, whatever it was, was even worse when he saw how pale Gerard was, “Gerard, mate what is going on?”
“You know how well organized I am, with things.” He started.
“Well yes, what do you think I hired you for,” he said smiling.
“My looks, or well my sister’s. But I don’t know how to say this, or even how it happened. But there was a mix up.”
Theo stood straight,” what do you mean mix up?”
He was still flipping through things. “I am not even sure how, but these two rooms somehow got swapped. I should have noticed it sooner given what happened last night.” Gerard beating himself up.
Theo crossed his arms looking at the other man, ”What happened last night?”
“Well Candice, you know the nice quiet sweet one?”
“Of course she is my regular Tuesday,” he said, “What happen with her? She has a spotless record and everyone loves her to death.” It seemed odd that anything negative would happen with her, as she was so backlogged with bookings to the point that there was a 6 month wait list, and he had to start a bidding pool for people just to get on it. “Did someone hurt her?” His anger flaring a bit.
“No, no… well a bit. No please listen. Her customer came down about 15 minutes after going up. He was the only one booked for tonight, minus this other chap. He was so pissed off, just a pain to deal with. I honestly didn’t hear much of what he was saying due to one, how annoying his voice was, but also because Candice’s help light was on, so I told him I would refund him just so I could get to her.”
At this, Gerard gasps as Theo grabbed him,” What happen to her?!” Theo actually was very laid back, except when it came to his girls. He was extremely protective of them, not as property, but he was well aware of what some may view them as, and think because they had money. Some men tended to think if they paid for it, that they were free to do anything, whether the women wanted it or not. That wasn’t how this worked.
“Was overall rude, and made her cry. I already blacklisted him, and saw to Candice. She is okay Theo, you know the women are my main priority.”
Theo ran his fingers through his hair,“ Well right now we need to get to the bottom of this. Have you called Jess?”
“No, I went straight to you, I’ll call her now.”
They both knew unless I was with a client, I always picked up, and if not called back quickly after. If I couldn’t talk, then I would shoot a fast text. While it usually would have been overly concerning that I didn’t answer. It was even more so given that the man who was in my room had called down.
Gerard called the room back up, Tom picking up the phone. “Hello, this is the front desk. Sorry for the wait. Has Jess come back up to the room with breakfast?”

Gerard looked at Theo who now was trying to call me. “No, not yet. We were trying to contact her, and she will never be on her phone when with someone. So we were making sure this wasn’t the case.”
Tom was confused, and getting frustrated. “What exactly is going on here?”
Theo had extremely good hearing. Some joked it was almost super human. He also was quick witted and could put things together quickly. He mouthed to Gerard – tell him the truth -. Gerard nodding.
“I will be coming up in person” Gerard said.
He hoped that would help set the man in my room at ease. It did the exact opposite. It had to be bad if they were coming up. Was I hurt? It didn’t make sense.
