Chapter 1

Loki was pleased with himself. Everything was not only going according to plan, but even better. He by no means wanted the crown. He had a much better prize, but when it was thrust up to him, well who was he to say no. Asgard needed him, and they would have him. He just had to assure Thor wouldn’t come back, should be easy enough.

He went down the Midgard, to relay his brother of the false story. Something that would have him never wanting to return. How his failures caused the death of his father, how his mother rejected him. A woman that saw good in everyone. He almost felt bad seeing the look of utter defeat in his brother’s face as he left.

He also couldn’t deny his amusement as the mortal’s tried to figure out what the hammer was. They never would, they are just too primitive, and bind to even see things that were in front of them. He stopped by it, he had to. Running his hand along the handle, before giving it a grip, and attempting to lift it. It didn’t move… it was worth the try. Besides, he thought as he returned back to Asgard, a much better prize would soon be his.

He had a wash, and a bit of pampering beforehand. He needed to look his best. He looked at himself naked in the mirror. Everything was groomed to perfection. With a wave of his hand his cloths where on his body, and he was holding the freshly polished helm was in his hands. He took a deep breath before placing it on his head, and checking himself one last time, and leaving his chambers.

He strode through the calls to the throne room like he owned the place, and in truth he did, at least till Odin woke up. By then he will have saved his life, shown he was more than a worthy king, plus hopefully more, as he sat down. He had already sent a guard for her, he will flog him if he was early, and twice as hard if he keeps him waiting for his object of desire, Sygin.

He sent the man that had been trying to court her on a dangerous mission, one that most surely he would not return from. No one else had made a move to court her either. Besides, even if they had, he was king, who could deny the king of all the 9 realms? He didn’t have much time to muse over this as his sharp hearing hard two sets of footsteps approaching. The guard putting his fist on his chest announcing, “Lady Sygin per your request Sire.”
Loki gave him a dismissive hand, wanting him out of his site, now that he had fetched the object of his desire. When the guard finally out of sight he stood, and the unreadable face, turned into one of joy as he smiled. “Hello Sygin.” He said stepping down off the thrown, and coming down to her level. “Thank you for seeing me, I have something I wish to discuss with you.”

Her head was bowed, not really sure what he could possibly want from her, but one doesn’t say no to the King of Asgard, temporary, or otherwise. “I am here to serve sire.” He couldn’t help but feel a fire burn in him seeing her small submissive form. There something behind it thought, he could tell.

“Now don’t be shy, please look up at me, and call me Loki.” He said seeing her slowly look up at him with those big blue eyes like oceans he could drown happily in.

“I am not one to questioning you, but isn’t Loki a bit too formal, and lacking in respect?” Her voice questioning, but her eyes, her eyes already told him that she knew why she was here. But she restrained herself so well. He would very much like to see her loss the restrain, that control. Reveal the power he felt hidden to all.

“Yes well, this is a more personal issue I wish to discuss, so please come walk with me. Let’s lose the formalities,” he led her to the balcony that overlooked all of Asgard. “It is beautiful is it not?”

“Yes sire… Loki it is a sight to behold. I have never been on this balcony before.” She had to admit it was, but the longer she was with him, the stronger the picture she got of his desires. She was far from ready for this. She had hope her beloved would return, even when others had already gone through morning for him.

“Sygin, I regret the loss of your to be husband, he will be remembered. He served us, and will be honored in Valhalla. But you must move on, and to the point as King, I need a Queen.” He said looking down at her awaiting her answer to him, his card shown.
